Meet Addison

I’ve loved cooking and baking (and eating!) for as long as I can remember. While other kids were watching cartoons and Disney Channel, I almost solely watched the Food Network. For Christmases and birthdays, instead of toys or dolls, I was adding KitchenAid mixers, deep fryers, and baking supplies to my wish list. I started baking when I was really young and some of my favorite things to make growing up were homemade calzones, macarons, and all the classic baked goods like cookies, muffins, and banana bread. I also loved to experiment and try new things like making homemade candy. My mom always told me I was brave in the kitchen!
Now that I’m older, cooking is still my favorite way to relax and be creative. I work full-time in consulting, so spending time in the kitchen helps me unwind and slow down. Whether it’s trying a new dinner recipe, baking something sweet on a Sunday afternoon, or hosting a cozy meal for friends, food is how I take care of myself and show love for my friends and family.
This blog is where I share the recipes I come back to over and over again that are comforting, approachable, and always made with love. You’ll find everything from baked goods to simple weeknight meals and tasty sourdough recipes, with a focus on flavor, nostalgia, and joy. Nothing fancy or over-complicated, just real food that tastes really good.
Thanks for being here. I hope you find something that makes you excited to get in the kitchen.

Whether you’re a seasoned cook or just starting out, The Sunday Spoon is here to inspire your culinary adventures. My weekly recipes and lifestyle ideas help bring a sense of fun and flavor to your everyday life.
I am new to blogging and actually writing down my recipes (I tend to think of ideas in my head and then measure with my heart) so please let me know what I can improve upon. I am also a full-time corporate consultant, so as much as I would love to post more, recipes will be rolled out slowly due to my job. I appreciate your patience and hope you enjoy my weekly posts!
I plan to share not only my recipes, but also hosting tips, fun crafts, and my film photography as well.

Come in, stay a while.
